A new day is a day closer

I'm slacking off with the blogging thing here.....I'll try to keep it up. So I took some pictures of all of the docs (dossier) that got sent to our agency. Thought I'd post them.

So on the left are the originals all notarized, certified and authenticated. The ones on the left are the photocopies of everything.

This is what the sticker of authentication from the Chinese Embassy looks like

It's pretty cool. Don't ask me what it says though. :0

So on Friday March 13th we were given our Home Study report. We were able to go through it over the weekend. It's weird reading your life story and things about yourself that someone else has written.  She called me tall and slender-I think I really like her. Haha!! :)  There were a couple mistakes that we found, we sent it back on Monday and now she has to fix the corrections and then send it on to our other agency.

Yesterday I got a call from the courier service in Washington D.C. and she said that she had just put our marriage certificate in the mail all authenticated. Yeah!! So thankful these things are getting done before we leave.  We are piling together our pictures still. Anyone out there have any pictures of me and Ryan (in the same picture) with other people???? Please send to me if you do.

Dylan made a family tree in Kindergarten recently and this is what he came home with:

Oh Happy Day!!!

Thought I would update you all on where we are right now.  It's been a while. Well on Feb.20 we received back our documents from the Secretary of State in Olympia. On Feb.24, I mailed it all, along with a photocopy of everything (they want to keep a copy of everything) and a money order  (everybody wants money!).  It says on the website to expect about 20 days for them to process it all. I was a bit stressed about that because we are going away for 2 weeks and we leave right around the time we would be getting it back to us. Well guess what??? It came in the mail yesterday!!! I usually check the mail after I pick the boys up from school but the mail for the day doesn't come till about an hour after. I wasn't even thinking it would be arriving soon so I wasn't doing the late afternoon check. Well this morning I went on the USPS website and put in my tracking number and it said in mailbox Mar.9, which of course was yesterday! So happy day it is over here!! So now I get to photocopy everything again (have I mentioned yet that we have already gone through over 500 sheets of paper and an ink cartridge?) and send it off to our agency to review everything.

So to back up, on Feb.26 we got our marriage certificate back from Ottawa. yeah!! On Mar. 2, I sent it off to a courier service called Caring Hands in Washington D.C., and they are going to hand deliver it to get authenticated at :
1) The Canadian Embassy  2) The U.S. Department of State   3) The Chinese Embassy
Once that is done they will mail it back to us. We should be getting that back in about a week or so. Then we will mail it to our agency as well.

I am so excited about all this! Now we just have to pray that once our I800A application is sent to Seattle that our fingerprinting appointment isn't  scheduled for when we are gone. That would mean rescheduling and I really don't want to have to do that. All in God's timing.

Well that is where things are at right now. Please keep our Anna in your prayers, that she is being well taken care of. Please also pray for those who are taking care of her, that they are loving, patient and kind. And please pray for us, that this process continues to go well and that we can bring her home sooner than later. Thank you so much!

ps  The closet is starting to fill up with items that look very purple and pink  :)
